Monroe's Orchard 2015

Our family's favorite time of the year is fall. We love the cooler weather, Halloween, and especially going to pick apples and pumpkins at the farm. The farm we like to visit is Monroe's Orchard in Hiram, Ohio.

Last year, I was blessed to be invited to participate in the Apple Festivals at Monroe's. My children were as excited as I was because it allowed them to visit the pumpkin patch and apple orchard three weekends in a row!  This year, I am thankful that I was invited back. (Monroe's Orchard Apple Festivals -- Sept. 26, Oct. 3, and Oct. 10).

My youngest son started asking about the first Apple Festival about two weeks ago. We had a countdown going until today when we packed up all our gear to spend the day at Monroe's Orchard with other folks just like us that love fall and all its givings.

I am so lucky to have four helpful and well-behaved children. They helped me put up the tent, set the tables, and prepare for the day.
My oldest daughter was thoughtful enough to take this photo of me talking to a student that heard me speak at her school last year.
Also, she snapped this picture of my youngest son and I playing the "SPELL YOUR NAME" Game with a fan who told me she purchased a Three Ghost Friends book last year and picked up the TGF Halloween book this year! (THANK YOU!!)
Our craft table was busy!! Children loved making their own healthy beards based on BABY BEARDS!.
I made a new shirt for this year's festivals!
It was the perfect day. Not too hot and not too cool!

Our activity and story time area was one of many fun things for families. There was a tiny train to ride, fire trucks, a bounce house, apple and apple cider samples, hayrides, other yummy foods, face painting, and more. My family ended the day with picking pumpkins in the patch and buying apples and cider to take home. It was a great day. We can't wait for next weekend.

I would love to see you at Monroe's Orchard on October 3 and October 10th (1pm-5pm). I know your family will have a great time!
